Afterhand

Casino strategy simulator

Play first.
Understand
after.

Practice blackjack, poker, and other casino games with post-hand coaching that explains what happened and how to improve.

How the coaching works
Fig. 1

A blackjack hand playing itself, ending in the post-hand review.

  1. Place your bet.
  2. Two cards each. The dealer shows a nine.
  3. You stand. Nothing on screen tells you whether that was right.
  4. The dealer turns the hole card.
  5. Dealer wins with 19.
  6. Basic strategy hits soft 18 against a nine. The ace cannot bust you, so the hand has a free look at a better total.

How it works

  1. 01

    Play the hand

Real rules, real dealer behaviour, simulated money. Nothing interrupts you while the hand is live.

  2. 02

    Make your own decisions

No hints. No highlighted button. No recommended move. The thinking stays yours, mistakes included.

  3. 03

    Review what happened

Afterwards, see which decisions mattered, what the better play was, and the reasoning behind it.

02

Watch a hand

Each table plays a hand through to the review, so you can see how a session reads before you sit down.

No-limit Hold'em at a four handed table, with a hand history you can walk through street by street.

Fig. 3

A Texas Hold'em hand playing itself, ending in the post-hand review.

  1. You are dealt ace king, suited, in late position.
  2. The flop brings a king. Two low cards, no flush draw.
  3. Your opponent bets 30 into a pot of 120.
  4. You raise to 95.
  5. Your opponent folds.
  6. Strong decision. Top pair with the best kicker on a board that misses most calling hands wants to build the pot rather than protect it.
A coach who talks during the hand is not teaching you. They are playing for you.

Afterhand never shows a recommended move while a hand is live. You look at your total, look at the dealer upcard, and decide. That moment of commitment is the part that teaches.

Once the hand settles, the review opens. It names the decision, gives the better play, and explains the reasoning with real numbers rather than slogans. Correct decisions that lost are marked as correct, because the point is the choice and not the result.

The room
